Restricted Chemical Substances List

The Restricted Chemical Substances List includes chemicals designated as restricted substances through successive public announcements. These substances are identified as posing significant hazards pursuant to Article 2, Paragraphs 8 and 9, and Article 27 of K-REACH; Article 20 of the K-REACH Enforcement Decree; and Article 2, Paragraphs 4 and 5 of the K-CCA. The specific given number format for restricted substances is 06-5-XX.

Substances in the List, as well as mixtures containing listed substances exceeding the corresponding threshold limits, shall be prohibited from the manufacture, import, sale, keep/storage, transportation, or use for restricted use purposes.
If restricted substances are to be manufactured, imported, sold, stored, transported, or used for non-restricted use purposes, a declaration must be made to the Korean Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE).
